Five tracks of this album are the individual ideas, personally arranged and organised, by the five members of the Band. "Cans And Brahms" is an adaptation by Rick Wakeman on which he plays electric piano taking the part of the strings, grand piano taking the part of the woodwind, organ taking the brass, electric harpsichord taking reeds, and synthesizer taking contra bassoon. "We Have Heaven" is a personal idea by Jon Anderson in which he sings all the vocal parts. "Five Per Cent For Nothing" is a sixteen bar tune by Bill Bruford, played twice by the Group, and taken directly from the percussion line. In Chris Squire's "The Fish", each riff, rhythm, and melody is produced by using the different sounds of the bass guitar. Steve Howe concludes with a solo guitar piece "Mood For A Day"
The remaining tracks on the album are Group arranged and performed.

YES - Fragile. Analogue Productions - AAPP 7211 Vinyl, Album, RE, RM, 200. Something seems a little off on image. Inside gatefold and on label it states 2006 not 2012. There is a 2006 release by Analogue but it is 180g. Anybody have any thoughts?
Quphagie
The 2006 sounds the same. But many agree the 2016 by Kevin Gray sounds better.
from earth
Has anyone compared these 2 yet and if so which one is superior sound wise?
Ichalote
This is a 2012 repress of the 2006 remaster, pressed on 200g vinyl by Quality Record Pressings (the 180g version was pressed by RTI).
Bys
Thats a good question and something I plan to look into before buying the new one. The label/gatefold issue may simply be a copyright thing, but if they are indeed just using the same plates they used for the '08 version (Wasnt that one done in '08, not '06? I can't remember), then I'll be seriously-rethinking whether I'm gonna' buy it or not. The AF "Pet Sounds" gold CD (from around '07, give or take) was done with a whole different rig than the old DCC disc from the early '90's, and I prefer the AF, so hopefully the new "Fragile"is the same sort of thing where Analogue Productions wanted another shot at it. I'm thrilled that AP redid "Pet Sounds" on vinyl, as I don't have ANY all-analog versions of that album. "Fragile" is becoming a tough one though, as there are affordable originals out there with stellar sound, so I sure hope the new one is a head-turner. Now, if AP would only finish what they started with "Shaft" and do the rest of the soundtrack instead of just leaving it at the "Hits From" supersingle they did way back (which they have apparently been pressing in small amounts, little by little, over the last 10 or 12 years... Its still available).
Beanisend
Not sure if I ever fully-compared the '06 reissue to my best US original copy.
Fordrellador
Good question. I have the 2006 version, which I like aside from the slightly-noisy vinyl. If this new one Is a little better and gas quiet vinyl, I'll be all over it. Whatever gives me the best "South Side Of The Sky" possible. Steve Howe goes mental on that song.
ndup
Probably they took the date of the remaster or they just used old cover stock. The 200 gram pressing is definitly from 2012.
Wooden Purple Romeo
Very rich sounding remaster, very quiet vinyl, outstanding packaging with an thick, heavy cardboard gatefold cover. Superb reissue!
