Was Not Was is an American pop rock group founded in 1979 in Detroit, Michigan by David Weiss and Don Fagenson, who adopted the stage names David Was and Don Was. Their song catalog features an eclectic mix of pop and rock styles, often featuring guest musicians from across the musical spectrum. The band's most popular period was during the 1980s and early 1990s, with their highest charting hit, the song Walk the Dinosaur, released in 1987 as the lead single from their 1988 album What Up, Dog. Текст песни: It was the third of September That day Ill always remember, yes I will 'Cause that was the day that my daddy died I never had a chance to see Not Was. At the beginning of the '80s, David and Don Was weren't gathering bedfellows as strange as Ozzy Osborne and Mel Tormé - as they would a few years later, seemingly inspired by the P-Funk All Stars as much as Battle of the Network Stars - but the Oak Park, MI, natives were nonetheless generating collaborations as unlikely and. Was Not Was is an American pop rock group founded by David Weiss and Donald Fagenson, who adopted the stage names David Was and Don Was. They gained popularity in the 1980s and early 1990s. The name of the band was derived from Fagenson's then-infant son Tony, who was just beginning to talk and enjoyed contradicting. Walk The Dinosaur was written by Was Not Was members David Was and Don Was, and producersongwriter Randy Jacobs. It was first released as a single in 1987, but ended up being included on their 1989 album What Up, Dog This song has a colorful history and an interesting path to fame.
