Samutilar
has any kind soul compared this with the recent mov and sony vinyl pressings? thanks in advance. US orig pressings are quite pricey even for a VG condition LP and am considering to get the recent sony reissue. :)
Linn
thank you so much for yr message. very very useful. I used to use ortofon (5e) as well as a project essential so I definitely agree to yr experience. ok will hunt for a US original. thanks so much again. appreciate it
Zinnthi
In my opinion it was better by miles and miles. I compared them back to back on a full analog record player setup (Project Debut Carbon DC with Ortofon OM10 cartridge and Yamaha Natural Sound Sound A-960 amplifier) and the US original was more detailed overall, more solid mid range, not so harsh and overly bright high frequency like the european and much better bass frequency, more punch and kick. Also the US original is much more rare if you care about that, it will only keep getting more expensive no matter how many reissues are made. I paid for my original dangerous 150 dollars plus postage but it was still stealed. I can only recommend the US original from bottom of my heart! They also used more disc space on the US original i guess thats one reason it sounds better. The EU original all sides had a lot of un-used surface, i can only guess why...
Hudora
thank you for your message. is the us original better than the Europe original?
Trash Obsession
I haven't compared my US original with newer issues my self but I am pretty sure i can assume they are not better. I had Europe original, bought the US original and the Eu original LP was very different in sound. Its well worth the money to invest in US original since the pressing must have been very small. Picture discs sound 95 % of the time terrible . All reissues of this are also remasters, picture disc and the others, 2001 remaster. Hope this helps any, get the USA original or if its too expensive the european original. I hear the reissues have also a lot sibilance.
Went Tyu
This pressing is super awesome in my humble opinion.. my stereo is an original 1983 pioneer... and it sounds so great.
Wat!?
Can anyone say is it worth it to sell my Europe original 2xLP and buy this one, the original US 2xLP ? Is there a difference in sound at all worth the upgrade? any comments welcome!
Nilasida
I would love to help you but I'm in the same case as you ! I'll like to get an US pressing though.
Nuliax
This is the first release I have seen with the original Epic 80s logo on it...which in my opinion is stylistically better than the 90s one. I will be saving this version for later. I was thinking I was gong to have to make my own label again lol.
invasion
This pressing sounds fantastic. Crystal clear -- you can hear it all. The inner sleeves are nice, with lyrics and illustrations (black and white). Considering this is somewhat more affordable than some other vinyl from the 90s, it's well worth it if you like this album.
