Van Hoen is at his best here, creating pleasantly distorted, effervescent electro-pop productions for vocalists including Holli Ashton, Wendy Roberts, and Craig Bethell. Moving from folk-pop to orchestral electro to hi-NRG trance occasionally in the same song, Van Hoen frames his singers with sympathetic productions. The modulated guitar strums on Just Like You shows that dreaminess can work with male vocals as well.
