Album 2017 23 Songs. The musical world of the show is treacherous, but also full of hope: the echoing glitches and rumbling pulses of Negan give a sense of the violence that lies in store, but the calming violins of Sophia remind us that theres pathos and comfort to be found, even in the places that seem most hopeless. Theme from the Walking Dead. is a pretty fantastic collection of Bear McCreary's haunting, driving score from the AMC television series, The Walking Dead. The trouble is just how much music is missing. I'm a huge fan of Bear's work on The Walking Dead & had been waiting ages for a properofficialalbum so as soon as i saw this CD was getting released i had it on pre-order like a shot. With some seven seasons of episodes to choose from,it's a shame that allot of his great iconic musicfor the showhas been left out,in favour of some forgettable is the incredible Mercy Of The Living score, heard on both the first season as well as an updatedextended version on season 3That it is not on. I'm listening to this now. It sounds good, so far no issues with the sound quality, so that's a good thing. That said, let's talk about the design of this release. I'd love to hear from whoever designed this package and hear their thought process. I would buy them their favorite beverage and simply ask them: why? For starters, the front cover features a rendition of the now famously mocked "DON'T DEAD OPEN INSIDE" double door shot from the first episode. This was so widely mocked online I'm surprised to see it as the cover. I could think of at least 50 other things that would make a better cover image but that's me. Secondly, they could have called this release "The Rick Grimes Show," because every other photo in it features Rick Grimes, which is just bizarre. I get it - Rick is the main character, but holy crap, do we need seven photos of Rick and ONLY Rick? The gatefold features Rick on horseback into the city and then Rick running to the farm. The sleeve for disc one features Rick at the prison pointing his gun, and the flip side is Rick looking at you from a broken fence while holding his gun. Disc sleeve 2 has Rick kneeling inside a TWD logo and the flip side features Rick standing there (with his gun) and there's a note on the ground that says: the new world's gonna need Rick Grimes. Ummm...yeah. That fold out poster? You guessed it. Rick Grimes. Yes, there are some of the other other characters in the background, in the very dark red letters of "rise up," but Rick is front and center. Oh, and he has his gun. Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick, Rick! (that's a lotta Rick)If you're a Rick Grimes fanboy or girl, then you'll love it. But if you're like me, and wanting some shots of, oh I dunno...the frickin' zombies on the show, or some of the other characters, you'll be disappointed. I wouldn't have minded a shot of some of the villains, minor characters, gore, hell, anything but 'nothing but Rick'. I feel like I got Rick Rolled. Get it? Never mind. Oh, and the back cover of the album is totally blank. It just has titles of the Why there's no Rick photo there is a mystery. The wax itself is aight. Nothing special. It's a dark, murky green. You have to hold it up to the light to see the Rick Grimes photos hidden in the wax. I would've been fine with black. Anyway, the records sound good, so I'm happy about that. I was pretty pissed when I bought the Spacelab version of this soundtrack and discovered there was only remixes of the score and shitty originals AMC tried to force in every episode. It's nice to finally have the score. I just wish whoever designed this frickin' thing didn't have such a boner for Rick Grimes. :/
Maybe you should check The Walking Dead (AMC Original Soundtrack - Vol. 1) for the song?
Love the previous comment haha had fun reading it. Got myself the record via Lakeshore. Overall great package but I feel the Rick Grimes thing from the previous comments.
They knock off stars every other week in this show. I think it's Rick Grimes time. As a film score it's familiar and surprising both. The record has moderate noise and two glitches. I like it.
True to all the Dick(rick) Pics. i'm disappointed that the one song i was hoping to be on here is not.
